Testimonies
Outlined below are just a few of the numerous healings in Carl's meetings through the years.
Our desire is to continue to add more testimonies in the words of those who have received their miracle.

Our 10 year old daughter Leah had Rotavirus at age 2. For the next 8 years she suffered from chronic severe abdominal pain, headaches and dizziness. Doctors were at a loss to understand her condition as no tests gave any indication of a problem. At the end of 2009 Leah's pain became so continual and extreme that we had to enrol her in distance education as she was unable to attend school. At the beginning of 2010 after a CT scan, Doctors decided that it was extremely likely that she had Crohn's Disease. She spent time in hospital for investigations and had a nasal/gastro tube for eight weeks, to build her nutrition levels. Our church, family and friends were praying at this time and after the Doctors had finished their investigations they found it wasn't Crohn's disease, but actually severe food allergies. We praised God for that diagnosis, however Leah's issues continued and she also experienced severe insomnia. We took her to an allergy treatment office and they identified a large number of foods Leah was allergic to and they began to treat her for them. This process, although effective, was slow and expensive; until Leah had been treated for all her allergies she was still under their control. On Sunday 18 July, Carl Butler preached at our morning service. He preached on how the cross of Christ releases us from various prisons, one of which is sickness, disease and ill health. We took Leah out for the alter call and Carl laid hands on her. The Holy Spirit fell on Leah and she described it afterwards as 'I felt like I was dancing on the moon'. All Leah wanted to do was to eat a slice of bread and have chocolate and some fruit. We came home and she ate everything we did. Sunday night, we went back for the night service and as we sat there Leah couldn't stop yawning. It has been 3 full days now and she is free. Healed! Praise God. She goes to bed and falls straight asleep. She has eaten large amounts of 'problem' food and has had no ill effect at all! Our Heavenly Father has set our little girl free from the prison of allergies. What an AWESOME God we serve!!!

We had some wonderful healings in this Festival. Among them, one lady who lost the use of her legs due to an accident over 9 months earlier had come to the meetings on a bicycle for the disabled. Her legs were totally healed and she walked and jumped freely on the platform. Another woman who had back, neck and hip pain for years and had been unable to carry loads on her head was completely healed in the first night. She testified the next night that she had been walking around with a massive load on her head that day free from all pain.

Many testified of long term pain leaving various parts of their bodies. One lady had chest and stomach pain for three years and couldn't raise her voice. The pain began to leave the first night of the crusade and by the Sunday all the pain was gone completely. One woman who had been well over due in her pregnancy and was in a lot of pain. The baby had been still within her for many days. After prayer the pain left and the baby began kicking again. Another woman shared how her seven year old child had fluid on the brain and had not been able to eat (solids) for three years. After prayer the child woke the next day asking for food and was able to eat normally. The mother also was healed of severe leg pain which she had suffered for four months.

There were also great testimonies of healings in the crusades, each stirring a mighty roar of praise from the crowd. Among them, a lady paralyzed by a stroke for over ten years was healed and appeared free from all symptoms. Also a boy who had been on crutches for some time due to a serious leg injury was healed. He walked without his crutches on stage and left the crusade unaided. A baby with a 'shrinking' sickness was very limp and weak but instantly became strong after prayer. Also among the miracles were two with our team members. Elizabeth was instantly healed of Crones Disease during the second crusade. She had suffered from this her whole life and endured a great deal of pain if she ate certain foods, especially during the last six years. She immediately ceased her medication and was able to cope with the greasy African food (which even gave my cast iron stomach pain for 5 days). Since returning home she has eaten all the perilous foods, remained well and been full of energy which the Crones had often sapped her of. Her doctor was lost for an explanation as tests found no trace of Crones disease in her body. Pat also testified to a miraculous immediate healing from a painful stiff neck. He had torn his neck muscle a few days earlier loading the truck.

A testimony from a partner: At a time when many businesses have been affected by the global economic crisis, it is encouraging to hear stories of God's blessing on his people. Paul, having been a faithful friend and supporter to this and other ministries for several years, has seen God's abundant blessing regularly on his life and business. While I was staying in his city in April we prayed together on site over his business. Over the last six months there has been consistent good results. In fact God has been providing beyond expectations. Though Paul is up against many bigger companies in the same industry, while other businesses are doing it tough, his has gone from around 17th to the 3rd highest in the country (last month) at generating contracts with the finance companies on sales through his business.

"Carl was preaching at a service about healing. I remember there being a challenge regarding why we as Christians believe for forgiveness of our sins yet at times it stretches us to believe for physical healing. Carl challenged us to believe the gospel in its entirety. He laid hands and prayed for healing of a diagnosed yeast allergy which I had had. After believing I was healed, I went and ate some bread. Some of the old symptoms flared up so I took myself away to seek God about it. It occurred to me that all that could be done, had been done (ie someone prayed, laid hands, annointed me with oil and asked), now it was up to God and I either believed He had healed me or I did not. I chose to believe and in faith, went and ate a whole lot of cake (:)).. it had yeast in it... No further symptoms arose and have not since. This was over a year ago."

"I have had a liver complaint for some three years which the doctors weren't able to accurately diagnose or treat (in my opinion). For the last three years I have had tenderness across my whole upper midsection, and have not been able to eat many foods (butter, cream, ice-cream, cheeses, bananas) without extreme pain followed by a couple of days of nausea. I constantly felt like I had swallowed a brick! Last Sunday Carl prayed for me and almost immediately I felt a change in my midsection. Straight after church at lunch-time I purposefully ate cake and cream believing I was healed. Hallelujah, God is good, by evening of that Sunday I felt like I was going to jump out of my skin because of the changes I could feel happening in my body. Praise His precious name, thank you Jesus!"

"I had industrial deafness caused mainly by driving a skidder snigging logs. When Carl was preaching he said to visualize your healing. As I sat in my seat the Lord reminded me of a vision a lady told me of years ago, that the hairs that take the sound to the inner ear were flat instead of straight up. I visualized those hairs standing up. My hearing started to improve immediately. When Carl prayed for me I heard perfectly for the first time in over twenty years praise God. I heard every word; thank you Lord!"

A lady who had damaged her knee in a fall 11 years ago and had walked in severe pain with a crutch ever since was wonderfully healed and danced on the altar. The following week she testified in church that swelling, blackness, burning heat and pain had gone from her knee.

It was also wonderful to see many people come onto the stage to share how God touched their lives. The testimonies ranged from the healing of an old lady’s feet (so she demonstrated by dancing with joy) to a young man being set free from a choking demonic oppression that had stopped him from speaking properly. He testified with a clear, strong voice.

Though I couldn’t possibly pray personally for everyone in these meetings, numerous people received healing of various ailments. Many of chest infections (often AIDS related) and stomach complaints. Also one lady testified that a broken bone in her hand was healed though prayer, and another lady received her hearing.

A lady who had severe kidney problems for three years was still suffering after a number of operations until Dr Jesus did a fine job and the pain left. Another lady with chest ulcers preventing her from eating without pain was healed and able to eat again pain free. One lady who had severe mirgaine headaches every day for six years was wonderfully healed and happy for the rest of the week. A man who had not been to church for several years and was suffering a lot of pain in his body was restored to fellowship and found relief for his body and soul.

Every service was exciting with large altar calls and people getting right with God. Others were filled with the Holy Spirit. God’s power was also there to heal. One woman who had pain all through her body for several months, was healed and set free from the pain. A man who had badly damaged his knee in a work accident had been through surgery but was still experiencing a lot of pain and stiffness. After prayer one Sunday, then the preaching building his faith the next, he was able to kneel and climb stairs unsupported for the first time in nine months.

A man whose feet bones were badly deformed and had twisted out sideways giving him constant pain, was facing major corrective surgery. In response to the message of faith in God’s Word he came forward on the altar call. As he stood at the front God said to him, “Put your hands on your own feet”. As he did the bones in his feet began to snap and pop into perfect alignment. His feet were totally healed.

On the Sunday a number of wonderful healings took place. An elderly lady who had lost her sense of smell for 18 months and had even given away her expensive perfumes, had her sense restored. She has been joyfully smelling flowers and perfumes ever since. One man had a swollen enflamed bone in front of his chest which had been painful for the past 10 years. He could only drink lukewarm cups of tea and even eating was sometimes painful for him. After prayer the next morning he woke up completely healed and able to eat and drink with no pain. He was hitting his chest as he testified to church members. Another man was healed of bad hay fever which he had suffered all his life. Normally at that time of year he would be sneezing often (up to 20 times in a row) and had blood shot and itchy eyes. But he was completely healed! In fact he threw out his medication the day after receiving prayer and had no more symptoms.

Among the healings this year was one man who had been homeless for fifteen years. He had lost all feeling in his legs and one arm for three years due to sleeping out in the freezing weather. He was healed instantly and his feeling restored. Another moving healing was of a little old lady who’s broken arm had not set properly, restricting the movement in her hand. She came up to me after the meeting with tears of joy as she freely moved her hand without pain.

Here are a couple of them. In one town the girl who had been saved, and healed of fluid on the brain in last year's crusade, brought her mother to the first night meeting this year and a school friend the second night. They both accepted Jesus. Her brother also testified that after prayer last year to give up smoking; he could not put a cigarette in his mouth without feeling sick. He was quickly set free from the habit. In another town this time, a girl who had swollen and painful knees for six months was healed. Her doctor had said she needed an operation. She told us in the meeting the second night that after prayer the swelling and pain had gone. She returned to her doctor that day who said she no longer needed an operation.

Having prayed for two couples last year to be able to have children, this year I was greeted by one of the couples and the wife was eight months pregnant. They have since given birth to a healthy baby girl. The other couple, who had also come to the Lord in the meetings last year, turned up at the church again while I was in town and testified how things fell into place for them to be able to adopt a child from South America. They shared their amazing story with the church and introduced their little boy who they were calling 'Carl' (would you believe it! : ). It has been a great blessing to see, and be a part of the miracle, of a growing number of couples around the world who couldn't have children but have been supernaturally blessed with them through prayer. I'm for church growth in whatever form it takes!
